More About Me
Over the course of my legal career and in my personal life, I have learned something fundamental: nearly every conflict has layers - emotional, financial, practical - and when you help people identify what they actually want, you give them a benchmark to solve from. The concept of "common ground" really resonates with me, and I think there is good reason that it is a term used often in consensus-building and mediation. Conflict resolution isn't just about win-lose or splitting the difference. Usually, there is some place that both parties want to get to - one aspect of the dispute where there is a shared interest - and I am genuinely interested in helping people find that space so they can move beyond their conflict.
I bring to every mediation a commitment to understanding the full picture, the skill to help parties articulate what matters most, and the belief that resolution is possible when people are given the space and support to find it.
On a personal note, I came to Tallahassee for FSU and never left, loving the community, the rolling hills, and the chance to build a career in the Capitol and raise a family where the seasons change. Away from work, I'm a lifelong sports fan who will watch anything from football to soccer or darts and curling, an avid reader, and someone who loves to travel.
